Johnson Controls Inc. seeks Senior Quality Engineer at its facility located at 8575 Largo Lakes Blvd. Largo FL 33773.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes materials and products. Plan and conduct the analysis inspection design tests and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component. Perform qualityengineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with requirements including quality manuals and company quality records. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. Review all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor. Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements to management. Prepare and present technical and program information to team members and management. Develop new product quality plans as part of participation on crossfunctional product development teams. No Telecommuting Allowed.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering Systems Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer Lead Quality Engineer or related occupation in the industrial field. Additionally the applicant must have employment experience with: 1 GD&T blueprint reading and schematic reading; 2 Utilizing ISO to for internal and external audits. LPAs and order audits; 3 Analysis of processes to determine how to improve them. Problemsolving techniques utilizing 5why Ishikawa (fishbone) diagrams IS/IS NOT used with 8D/A3 reports; 4 Qualification of supplied parts using PPAP; 5 Utilizing DOE to establish optimal machine settings given specific dimensions and tolerances; and 6 Utilizing Six Sigma to determine a mean and a tolerance or dimensional range.
