POSITION SUMMARY:
- Lead system engineering and program management activities.
- Guides product test engineers SPT engineers process engineer supplier manufacturing members & quality engineers for product key characteristic measurements
- Fully responsible for the form fit and function of the product and all included aspects for the design which they this role is leading.
- Technical Responsibility for Design DVP & FMEA / Product FRR sheet sign off
- Accountability for product performance and durability sign off
- Graduate in Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years experience as a Design & Development Engineer within the automotive field
- Comprehensive experience in A.O.E. product design GD&T and design validation necessary.
- Experience in Power transmission (Belts Chains Gears) measuring techniques simulation software tools creation of analytical programs will be desirable
- Must be experienced in use implementation and administration of CAD systems.
- Adheres to ISO TS 16949 ISO 14001 HSE policy VDA 6 GBLP/s GPS Lean Manufacturing 6 Sigma and any other industry standards in all activities
- Must be capable of planning and organizing technical projects and design work against deadlines.
- Must have excellent communication skills to be able to work effectively with customers and clearly explain complex technical issues.
- Must have common sense and logic to be able to understand customer requirements and to effectively transfer them into designs needs.
- Must be highly analytical and a good problem solver.
- Requires creativity to find new solutions or alternatives to design problems.
- Must have a good knowledge of spoken and written English
- Must have a good knowledge of the customer requirements and the use of the corresponding CAD/CAE tools.
