Its exclusives set the news agenda and its campaigns have changed the lives of many. In recent years The Sun has campaigned for victims of domestic abuse NHS workers and veterans to name only a few.

Your role: We have an opportunity for a senior consumer reporter to join our awardwinning Consumer team. The successful candidate will be an integral member of The Suns money and consumer team.
We need a talented committed journalist to become a key member of this team.
Day to day you will:
Pitch and write splashworthy exclusives breaking news and longform features online in Sun Club and in print
Work collaboratively with the Consumer team to identify new trends and issues helping to identify investigations and campaigns
Bundles of consumer knowledge and the ability to challenge companies and fight for readers rights
Bags of ideas and the ability to generate exclusives from your own sources and contacts
Help to create news lists and support the consumer news editor
What we are looking for from you:
Online or print reporting experience in a newsroom
Experience using Wordpress or similar CMS system to build content digitally
Excellent writing skills with the ability to write clean copy to tight deadlines
A passion for The Sun and understanding of the brand in print and online
Being a selfstarter is key and you will need to thrive under the pressure of a busy newsroom
Enthusiasm imagination and a notebook full of ideas are all essential
Unflappable under pressure and delivers work at a consistently high standard
Positive attitude and good team player
Experience of presenting on video about personal finance topics
Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Have a thorough knowledge of the IPSO Code of Conduct media law and ethical considerations
At least one years experience as a reporter or journalist
