Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION TECHNICIAN performs a variety of technical and supportive care tasks to assist physicians in performing complex and invasive cardiac catheterization procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the physician.
JOB DESCRIPTION
13 weeks
Shift time: 7a7:30p
3x12s or 4x10s
Daily Caseload: 36 rotating between about 8 techs
1 Years of experience required
First time travelers are not accepted
OnCall every 23 weekends. Oncall schedule is Fri: 7p7a Sat: 24 hours 7a7a; and Sun: 24 hours 7a7a
No block schedules
Locals accepted
JOB REQUIREMENTS
AART and NJ license must be inhand
BLS ACLS required
Skill Requirements: Scrub diagnostic right and left heart cath interventional cath CTO structural heart ablations devices (include ICD Pacemakers loop recorders etc. interpretation/management of dysrhythmias; Will accept proficiency in either cath or EP lab procedures both skillsets highly desired
Equipment experience required: Sterile procedure and equipment set up rotablator IABP closure devices balloon inflator and stents
Charting System: EPIC Cupid and Merge
