ROLE: Safety Specialist
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (minimum)
5 Years Experience in General Industry Safety
Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Experience Required
Preferred: Maintain one or more industry specific certifications (e.g. CSP CHMM etc.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES/SKILLS:
Highly analytical and organized
Ability to learn and work independently
DESCRIPTION: The Safety Specialist is generally responsible for:
performing environmental health and safety reviews at facilities across the country in accordance with contractual requirements;
generating reports in a timely and accurate manner;
supporting the drafting of bids and proposals for health and safety oriented work with the federal government; and
performing other related duties as assigned.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must pass a preemployment drug test
Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record
Willingness to travel by air and ground (as required)
Not eligible for employment sponsorship
Capable of spending long days on your feet for hours at a time (field work)
Ability to walk a multilevel multibuilding facility campus with limited breaks (field work)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Capable of sitting at a desk and using a computer for long periods of time (report generation)
