Job Description
Join the team at The Hotel Hershey a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance signature services and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 276 guest rooms including 10 Villas with 48 luxury sleeping rooms as well as 25000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930s hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA FourDiamond Award winner.
This parttime position is responsible for providing food and beverages to guests during different types of services including banquets receptions buffets and butler/a la carte events.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Set up and tear down of events*
Serve food and beverage to guests in a professional and guestfriendly manner.*
Carry trays from service areas to banquet rooms.*
Inspect tables and chairs
Clean up and tear down after event ends; clear tables*
Maintain and stock supplies i.e. sugar bowls salt and pepper shakers and condiments*
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Follow safety guidelines and perform job accordingly
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
One year banquet food and beverage experience preferred
Must be able to pass the Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) Certification
This position participates in the postoffer employment testing program
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must present a professional image and good personal hygiene
Must present a guestfriendly attitude have the desire to serve the public and have the ability to work cooperatively with others
Must be able to work in fast paced environment and meet deadlines
Must be able to speak fluent English and read instructions
Job Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:

Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations required to serve outdoor guests.
Must be able to work flexible and varied hours. This is a parttime year round position. The working schedule for this position may include days evenings weekends and holidays based on operational needs.
This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet schedule requirements which will most likely require evening weekend and holiday hours.
