The Role
The Junior Accounting Analyst based in our Toronto office will be responsible for providing internal support for the invoice processing expense report auditing and invoice review/resolution. This role will also play a key role in assisting the accounting team members with other required tasks including month end process and entry completion external supplier Accounts Receivable (A/R) reconciliations and monthly reporting needs to support internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
- Invoice Processing
- Collaborate with the internal teams to ensure accurate and timely updates
- Budget/Forecast Rate Updates
- Inventory reporting and freight adjustments
- Audit Concur Travel & Expense reports
- Monthly accruals
- Provide monthly reports to support internal and external stakeholders
- Assist Month End process and entry completions
- Support external supplier AR reconciliations
- Assist accounting team in ad hoc tasks as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years of Finance or Accounting experience
- Prior CPG or Beverage Industry experience an asset
- Bachelors degree in Business/Commerce with Finance or Accounting specialization preferred
- Pursuing CPA designation would be an asset
- Proficient in Excel with a keen curiosity to learn more within this tool to help build models and process efficiencies within existing Accounting workbooks/models.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse fast paced environment
- Selfstarter who is eager to learn and has a keen curiosity to explore develop solutions to help the Accounting team and its stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
