Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate highquality care tailored to the unique needs of each client.
As we continue to grow we are looking for a skilled Quality Risk & Compliance Manager to join our leadership team and be a key member of a Tasmanian business delivering exceptional care to our clients. This is a newly created full time position based in our Launceston office.
Role Overview:
As the Quality Risk & Compliance Manager at Community Care TASMANIA you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of highquality care and services to clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the organisations quality assurance risk management and compliance frameworks ensuring we continually meet and exceed industry standards. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Community Care TASMANIA maintains operational diligence in policy and procedure application to support regulatory compliance in aged care and disability service delivery. In the first 36 months this role will conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of existing policies and procedures against:
The Aged Care Act 2024
Other relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
The strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
Relevant NDIS Practice Standards Guidelines and Frameworks
Support at Home
Following the analysis the role will drive policy review development and implementation as required to ensure Community Care TASMANIA remains fully compliant with evolving aged care and disability regulations. Beyond this the role will be responsible for ongoing compliance monitoring maturing the Quality Assurance Framework and developing quality assurance activities that support service delivery including oversight of thirdparty service providers to ensure their compliance with regulatory requirements. This position serves as the goto subject matter expert on whether procedures align with aged care and disability legislation quality standards and compliance obligations. The Quality Risk & Compliance Manager understands the importance of managing risk and ensuring compliance but also prioritises a person centred approach when communicating with individuals across various levels. This means using clear respectful and empathetic language that takes into account the diverse needs and perspectives of all stakeholders including clients team members and external partners. In this role the individual will ensure that policies and procedures are framed in ways that are accessible and considerate avoiding jargon or language that may create barriers to understanding. They will work closely with other teams to foster a culture of transparency trust and inclusivity making sure that the language used aligns with our core values of respect and fairness for everyone involved
Key Responsibilities (Selection Criteria):
Regulatory Compliance & Policy Development
Provide expert insight and guidance on managing and mitigating risks across the organisation. The role will be responsible for identifying potential risks ensuring compliance with industry standards and helping to shape strategies that maintain the quality and integrity of our operations. This role is essential in helping CCT stay proactive in assessing risks monitoring the effectiveness of mitigation plans and ensuring that quality and compliance are consistently upheld at all levels. Assist to develop and implement clinical quality governance frameworks ensuring adherence to clinical policies and practices across all service areas and conduct gap analyses to align policies with the Aged Care Act 2024
Ongoing Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure that the Risk Register is up to date accurately reflecting the identified risks their potential impacts and the mitigation actions in place. Whilst developing and overseeing the RAS Risk Management Framework: The Manager will be involved developing the RAS Risk Management Framework and in ensuring that the Risk Management Framework is aligned with the organisations risk appetite and strategic objectives. They would contribute to the development and review of the RAS to ensure it is consistent with the organisations goals and regulatory requirements. This might include assessing the level of risk the organisation is willing to accept and ensuring that all departments and teams are aligned with this threshold in their risk management activities. Providing advice to the Executive on compliance risks and mitigation strategies and ensuring that incident management and investigation processes are undertaken in alignment with relevant legislation and requirements.
ThirdParty Compliance Oversight
Introduce externally administered audits to provide an independent objective evaluation of our systems processes and compliance efforts adhering to regulatory requirements and identifying any areas for improvement from an external perspective.
Advisory & Internal Support
Act as a key advisor on regulatory and quality compliance. Providing training and guidance to staff on compliance obligations.
Leadership and Team Management
Lead a highperforming Risk and Compliance Team and foster a positive and inclusive organisational culture. Enhance employee engagement wellbeing and satisfaction. Ensure all workplace related activities are managed in a way that is consistent with best practice and applying a human centric approach.
External Stakeholder engagement/management
Represent CCT at relevant industry and community events. Managing and maintaining existing and strategic networks and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in a manner that fosters positive relationships with external partners such as healthcare providers community organisations and government agencies. Continue to develop collaborative relationships across network boundaries to achieve regional goals and objectives/key performance indicators.
Internal Stakeholder engagement/management
Work in close partnership with the relevant stakeholders and other key personnel to ensure the effective implementation and management of activities across operations to ensure a holistic approach to care delivery and adherence to plan.
Financial Management
. Monitor and control expenditure ensuring services are delivered within financial targets and assist in managing budgets to ensure that divisional targets and key performance indicators are met.

About You:
We are seeking a compassionate dedicated and highly organised Quality Risk & Compliance Manager who has a passion for supporting Tasmanians living in their own homes and communities and leading a dedicated team to deliver highquality care. You will bring:
Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of five years postgraduate experience in a risk compliance or audit related role
Extensive knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Quality Standards.
Experience leading and influencing through change and working agilely in complex environments.
Exceptional stakeholder management communication and problemsolving skills.
Understanding of Federal and Tasmanian Acts Regulations Codes of Practice and legislative instruments that relate to Aged Care and NDIS.
Computer literacy including Excel financial software database management CRMs and reporting of metrics.
Experience working with senior and executive management teams.
Essential Experience:
Extensive knowledge of NDIS and Disability related frameworks and Standards.
Proven experience in policy development quality assurance or regulatory compliance within aged care and disability health or other regulated sectors.
Strong analytical skills to assess compliance identify risks and implement practical solutions.
Skilled in interpreting legislation and translating complex regulations into clear operational processes.
Experience in compliance monitoring audits and reporting to support quality assurance.
Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Excellent written communication skills with experience drafting policies guidelines and compliance documentation.
Excellent stakeholder management communication and problemsolving skills
Desirable Criteria
Experience in managing compliance for thirdparty service providers.
Understanding of risk management principles related to aged care and disability compliance.
Previous experience in a leadership role within compliance or quality assurance.

Attractive salary & salary packaging This is a SCHADS SACS Level 7 position. With additional salary packaging benefits up to $15900 plus a meal & accommodation package of up to $2649
