Day Program Support Professional Reports to: Director of Community Integration Location: Cedar Lake Residences (CLR)/Cedar Lake Enrichment Center (CLEC) LaGrange KY. Parttime benefits:*PayActiv (access 50 of your net earned wages up to $500 between pay days) *Paid time off *Engagement bonus opportunity PURPOSE This role focuses on program development and implementation of curriculum for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a day training setting. Classroom activities include daily living social living recreation leisure creative arts prevocational and vocational training opportunities. Facilitation of services may occur at the adult day training (ADT) center or in the community. This role will function as a member of CLR and may provide supplementary assistance to any individual served by CLR.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Creates and implements ongoing lesson plans as it pertains to curriculum and programming guidelines with curriculum development and maintenance of participant program goals. 2. Assists individuals in areas of daily living social living recreation/leisure prevocation and vocational skills. May be required to provide additional waiver services in the community on an as needed basis. 3. Maintains documentation related to the individuals participation which entails a summary reflecting progress outcomes goal projection and concerns related to curriculum and programming needs. 4. Assists with coordination planning and scheduling of up to three annual activities outings and special events with collaboration of the day program coordinators. 5. Drives CLR vehicles as necessary to provide transportation services that may entail off campus activities. Is responsible for ensuring the safety of the individual while in a vehicle. 6. Encourages and assists individuals in exercising their rights while in community settings. Facilitates constructive ways to respond to conflict and develop strategies for resolution. Provides guidance and direction on social/judgement and health related issues that pertain to integration in the community. 7. Attends mandatory inservices staff training and meetings as scheduled. 8. Represents CLR in a professional manner providing ethical standards of practice for individuals we support 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred Experience: Oneyear experience working with individuals with ID/DD is strongly preferred. Valid Kentucky drivers license required.
WORK SCHEDULE Parttime MondayFriday 7:304:30p. Weekends evenings and additional hours may be required as necessary.

DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS While performing the essential duties of this job the employee is required to: frequently stand walk sit reach outward occasionally reach over shoulder squat or kneel bend and climb. (with or without assisting devices or with assistance from others) frequently lift/carry up to 20 pounds occasionally to 50pounds. frequently push/pull up to 40 pounds Other abilities required are near close distant and peripheral vision (corrected) with depth perception and color recognition; a good sense of hearing smell touch and the ability to wear personal protective equipment Normal working conditions most often occur in a day training setting with occasional work in the community at various businesses and residential settings with moderate noise level.
