About the Role
Stamford Plaza one of Brisbanes finest five star hotels is currently looking for a talented dedicated and experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to join our exceptional Kitchen Brigade. This role would suit someone with experience in patisserie and large volume kitchens. This position is responsible for the pastry section in the kitchen as well as a wide range of whole kitchen operations as per business needs. This is a unique handson position that is suitable for someone who is excited by the planning and directing of food preparation in kitchens while motivating and supporting an exceptional team of qualified chefs and kitchen stewards. Reporting to the Executive Chef this role is responsible for consistently delivering exceptional food experiences for our guests and staff. As a Pastry Chef de Partie this role also encompasses supporting the Pastry Chef in being hands on in the kitchen. The successful candidate will have demonstrated people management capabilities with the natural passion and desire to coach mentor grow and lead a diverse multicultural team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing miseenplace for your designated work station to ensure the smooth running of service
- Prepare all food items in accordance with standard recipes for a la carte restaurants Conference and Events
- Check food rotation to ensure freshness of all food products
- Adhering to the Hotel policies and procedures
- Meet all health and hygiene requirements and cleanliness
- Ensuring a seamless Guest experience through prompt and efficient food service
Skills and Experience
- An Australian recognised trade or relevant certificate III or IV in Patisserie
- Previous experience of two years in a similar role
- The ability to work in a fast paced kitchen
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
- Team Player
- Ability to work on rotating shifts across 7 days
- A proactive approach to system improvements
- Knowledge of HACCP and relevant food safety accreditation
The annual Salary range for this role is $73000 $75000 plus superannuation.
