Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education
At least three years nursing experience in ambulatory outpatient setting
Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.
Licensure by the Arkansas State Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse
CPR certification
At least two years experience in nursing supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education
At least five years of nursing experience
Outpatient clinical experience in college health
Experience with office surgical procedures
Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge and understanding of patient flow in a clinic setting
Prescriptive authority experience
Effective phone triage assessment and computer skills
Effective history taking and physical assessment skills
Ability to administer injectable medications and immunizations
Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure adequate daily medical support staffing
Ability to work with a varied patient population
Demonstrates efforts to increase knowledge and skills to effectively interact with individuals of varying ages cultural backgrounds genders sexual orientations abilities and perspectives
Ability to work independently and contribute to project team efforts
Ability to collaborate with others in the nursing profession (both in Pat Walker Health Center and other clinics in the community; U of A School of Nursing) as well as professionals across the spectrum both on the U of A campus and the surrounding communities
