Job Description

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Regional Managers in all locations to standardize practices cost and gain efficiencies around compressor maintenance.
  • Assist in establishment of maintenance practices to ensure breathing air compressors are in top condition to produce grade D breathing air.
  • Establish procedures to monitor and test breathing air to ensure it meets specifications.
  • Identify and order appropriate parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Perform standard repairs on compressors and related equipment; replace parts and equipment as necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
  • Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible accurate and timely manner.
  • Adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out protocol.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Provide operational oversight of designated location including human resources company asset management collaboration with the sales group daily operational efficiency and profitability of the location under his/her area of responsibility
  • Establish the expectations and standards of quality for his/her location with regard to customer service operational readiness and safety of operations
  • Mandate level of compliance for all quality safety training and state and federal regulatory program requirements
  • Coordinate with Management to qualify hire place terminate and supervise management team and employees at his/her location
  • Sustain ongoing monitoring of fixed asset availability and determine need for additional purchases in coordination with Management
  • Responsible for all Asset Management of the location in Rental Man including cycle counts equipment status in/out and asset additions & disposals
  • Responsible for all commodities and commodity counts
  • Oversees and is responsible for all air equipment maintenance and shop activities and employees
  • Supports all other special assignments as directed by Management

Qualifications

Education: Engineering or Technical college degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of operations experience in the petrochemical or three to four years of related experience with industrial safety equipment industry.

Other Required Skills Knowledge or Abilities: A proven track record in operations and management in an upstream or downstream service environment including turnaround projects.

A strategic thinker who can use their analytic organization and observation skills to quickly understand concepts and/or needs and then effectively develop execute and manage programs and solutions.

A dedicated and motivating leader of people and processes and is capable of successfully managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure.

Understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service and is willing to assist and provide support to the sales team when/where needed.

Understands basic financial data and reporting and is capable of learning Total Safetys accounting and asset management system (Rental Man).

Basic Financial Accounting knowledge and experience. Strong computer skills required (Word Excel and PowerPoint).

Regular travel is required.

Interpersonal Communications: Excellent at communicating with all levels of the internal/external organization including employees customers and Total Safety management. Maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop kneel or crouch. Uses hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Additionally he/she is expected to make business meetings in Houston and other corporatedesignated locations and attend trade shows and exhibitions when requested. Is expected to work from the road when travelling.
