TheRole
ProvideL2 support to production systems like application database middlewarecomponents infrastructure and network components
Manageproductions incidents endtoend within defined SLAs with focus on resolutionrather than who caused it.
Interactwith various stake holders such as Release managers program leads servicemanagers development and test leads
Reviewoperational readiness requirements such as monitoring and alerting logrotation and resilience of the components and report the gaps
Providepreimplementation support with activities such as release notes review andimplementation dry runs.
Protectproduction components by running health checks monitoring latency and memoryutilization.
Automatedaytoday activities and propose changes that improve reliability
Participatein CAB and provide feedback on change requests
Supportthe DevOps team in testing the promote pipelines and suggest automation ofconfiguration items.
Practiceincident management best practices and perform RCA.
Participatein disaster recovery tests and operational acceptance tests
Analyzethe technology stack that makes up the product and optimize recovery timeobjective.
Workwith team members spread across and time zones
Shareknowledge document improvements and mentor junior resources
Supportdeployments of code intomultiplelowerenvironments.Supporting currentprocessesneeded with an emphasis on automating everything as soon aspossible.
Engagein and improve the whole lifecycle of servicesfrom inception and designthrough deployment operation and refinement.
