JOB SUMMARY:
As an Ohio CAT Field Service Technician you will troubleshoot diagnose and repair general heavy equipment engines and drivetrain components electrical and hydraulic systems from a company service truck in the field often at customer job sites. Responsibilities include inspecting repairing and maintaining engines and/or heavy equipment components such as torque converters final drives undercarriage hydraulic pumps and much more. REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.
- Experience in construction or heavy equipment service and repair is required preferably with Caterpillar equipment.
- Valid Commercial Drivers License with an acceptable driving record by Ohio CAT standards
- Strong technical service skills mechanical aptitude and experience with construction or heavy equipment required and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial
- Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers updates as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
- Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs standing sitting and climbing into machines
- Dexterity Normal
- Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands wrists and fingers.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
