Job Description

As a national energy transition partner and independent power producer (IPP) we develop construct own operate and maintain integrated solar battery storage and electric vehicle (EV) charging assets for commercial and industrial customers. We are seeking an experienced Sr Project Development Manager to support the origination development and delivery of projects ontime and onbudget by collaborating closely with colleagues at all levels of the organization to guide development strategies that will have the greatest customer impact and highest commercial value.

You Will:

    • Develop projects with existing and/or new customers/partners
    • Perform projectlevel development to NTP managing project schedules and budgets
    • Guide projects through the interconnection process working with engineers utilities and customers/developer partners to ensure development milestones are met
    • Partner with Legal to ensure projects obtain site control and have a clear title review
    • Collaborate with development partners and/or act individually to obtain special use permits and all other nonministerial permits and develop a building permit matrix with the PM team
    • Ensure survey work is completed and necessary permits real estate and grid interconnection agreements are secured
    • Work closely with account managers to ensure smooth collaboration and development of parcels with real estate owners
    • Work collaboratively with the Construction teams and assist in developing SOW and EPC contracts
    • Work closely with the Finance team through development stages providing updates to the project model to ensure that goals are met and the project stays within budget and on schedule.
    • Identify and suggest improvements to business processes and best practices; evaluate community solar acquisitions and assist in creating new processes
    • Work collaboratively and demonstrate a high level of diplomacy with landowners vendors engineering partners developer partners utilities and local communities

What You Bring to the Team:

    • Bachelors degree in Business Finance or related field preferred; MBA and/or advanced cost accounting experience a plus
    • 8 years of Community Solar Development experience including distributed energy projects with a focus on infrontofthemeter solar projects in New York
    • Demonstrated success conceptualizing and developing renewable energy solutions
    • Understanding of all aspects of solar power development including sitting interconnection permitting construction and financing as well as utility/energy/grid transformation
    • Direct experience in distributiongrid level project development obtaining site control acquiring interconnection services agreements and working with Procurement to manage equipment supply chains for hitting COD goals
    • Experience developing and delivering ISOlevel battery energy storage systems
    • Experience in ERCOT MISO and SPP in TX strongly preferred. Other states a plus
    • Experience using enterprise software like Salesforce Procore and Netsuite and participating with the Software Development team to capture project information for management
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook) and/or Google Suite (Docs Slides Sheets Calendar) Adobe CS and Microsoft Project a plus
    • Willingness and ability to travel locally and nationally 50 or more to meet with real estate owners energy codevelopers and suppliers and visit project sites
    • Valid drivers license and car insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of the state where you reside

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act New York City Salary Transparency Law and California Pay Transparency Law Catalyze provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado New York City or California. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific office location. For the state of Colorado New York City NY and California only the range of starting pay for this role is $140000 $185000.
