TheSeniorFacilities Technicianwill be responsible formaintaining an environment of care which provides a safe functional and clean treatment facilityfor patients visitors and staff. Ensures all critical life safety and equipment systems are maintained to ensure their most efficient operational readiness.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able toprovidea working knowledge of maintenance principles theories and operations. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools. Good oral and written communications skills including reading and writing skills at a high school graduate level. Ability to work with peers in a team situation.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Three 3 years of experience in facility maintenance and/or relatable industrial commercial or institutional experience and/or construction with hospital maintenance experience preferred.
  • Related technical school graduate or five 5 years on the job training required.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs a broad variety of hospital equipment and systems.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.
  • Performs construction tasks for preparation of the hospital for furnishings equipment and systems.
  • Serves as a maintenance resource to monitor the operation status and condition of hospital equipment and systems.
  • Maintains and completes maintenance journals logs and time sheets daily.
  • Performs air balance water steam refrigerant and temperature control measurements/adjustments on systems to achieve optimum performance. Measures air velocity pressure flow and temperature consistently within ten percent accuracy.
