Job Description

Responsible for the preparation and analysis of all financial activities in support of the global logistics function. Work closely with the Director of Global Logistics and the Operations Finance Leadership team to report results analyze trends and provide financial guidance and recommendations to management. The individual in this role will be required to understand business requirements and drive robust modeling analytics and reporting for projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Prepare monthly financial reports review variances and provide insights to management as it pertains to all aspects of logistics supply chain activities including operating expenses capital investments freight efficiency and Business Unit breakdowns to further enhance better decision making.
  • Collaborate with business partners to prepare annual budget longrange plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Provide ongoing financial support for special projects and cost saving initiatives including preparation of presentations for the Polaris leadership team.
  • Proactively work with cross functional team members to identify potential opportunities to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  • Drive performance through assessing the impact of changing business conditions and influencing executive level managers through analysis.
  • Become an integral part of the global logistics team providing leadership and functional expertise wherever needed; solicit feedback and provide closed loop communication system to enhance quality of service.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and miscellaneous projects as requested by functional or finance leadership.
  • Ability to think independently and proactively bring best in class solutions to the table and be willing to drive those solutions across the finish line.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance required; CMA and/or MBA preferred.
  • 4 6 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required
  • Extensive experience in various (excel PowerPoint access) Microsoft tools required. Onestream / MAPICS / Alteryx / Microsoft BI a plus.
  • Strong track record of analytical problemsolving planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with previous experience working with senior management on a routine basis.
  • Proven experience relationshipbuilding and influencing cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard fastpaced office environment.

The pay range for Minnesota is $80000 to $111000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography.
