Mobile Software Engineer iOS

An expanding entrepreneurial technology company Alarm is seeking a motivated iOS Mobile Software Developer to join our Customer Experience team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the creation of highquality mobile applications and aid in creating a seamless user experience and an app with robust functionality. As an iOS Developer on the mobile team you will work closely with Product Management Quality Engineering and our other Developers adding and maintaining features for our end users. You will leverage new and old Apple technologies while developing in an Agile environment. Typical projects will involve a variety of technologies and skills and will occasionally require full stack development and design of new systems with the help of our application architects. Were looking for a candidate with a background in computer science or computer engineering. Ideally you will be someone who enjoys the challenge of solving complicated problems and who will cautiously yet confidently work on a system which has high volume and millions of daily active users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mobile App Developers primary job responsibilities will include:

• Developing mobile applications for iPhone as well as serverside APIs
• Writing coherent organized code. The ideal candidates must be comfortable working on a complicated codebase with high levels of abstraction
• Working with Product Management to help define functional specifications for mobile applications
• Implementing multidevice application features as part of an interactive Agile development process
• Researching adopting and integrating new technologies
• Innovating and improving existing products and mobile app features
• Taking ownership of projects to ensure their successful completion with respect to deadlines
• Collaborating with Quality Assurance in developing a test plan to ensure successful deployment of updates
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering program with strong academic performance. Liberal arts academic experience or interests are also a plus.
• 02 years of experience in Software Development preferably in mobile development
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals: operating systems data structures algorithmic analysis concurrency
• Ability to work collaboratively and crossfunctionally with various teams
• 1 year of iOS experienced preferred
• Selfstarter analytical tenacious problem solver
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables
• Passion for working with technology and excitement for creating high quality consumer technology products

• Experience with Swift ObjectiveC Cocoa Touch iOS SDK Core Animation
• Experience with Git JSON Rest XML and XHTML
• Experience with Smart Home Assistants
• Experience with unit testing (JUnit Mockito Robolectric) and UI testing (Espresso)
• Experience writing code for a multithreaded environment
• Experience writing scripts in: Python Ruby Groovy Bash etc
• Experience with or knowledge of common architectural patterns: MVP MVVM
