Job Description
512 GRADE VOCAL MUSIC PARTTIME TEACHER
NCA is a Christian School serving grades Jr.K12. All qualifying candidates must support the mission statement: New Covenant Academy is a school committed to Academic Excellence Biblical Truth Christlike character.
New Covenant Academy is seeking qualified candidates for a parttime Vocal Music Teacher for grades 512(employment agreement renewable annually pending board approval) beginning in August 2025 to May 2026. The individual will work at the Libertycampus location 3581 S. Kansas Ave. Springfield MO. And Warrior Campus at 3801 S Cox Rd Springfield MO.
JOB SUMMARY
The music teacher must prepare students for concerts (Spring Grandparents Day and Christmas) and competitions with some travel involved. (A full job description will be provided upon interview).
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have a valid Missouri (or from another state within the U.S) Teaching Certificate and hold an appropriate endorsement in the areas of instruction with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in the area of teaching. Furthermore candidates must have a Christian testimony reflected in a daily walk that exemplifies the Christian faith and must demonstrate evidence of regeneration and dedication to the cause of Christ and have an expressed desire (call) to work in a Christian school.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
The salary base for this position with the required minimum education is a proration of the fulltime salary which begins at $38540 for a firstyear teacher with certification and the amount incrementally increases depending on your degree and number of years teaching. Fringe benefits for the parttime teacher can be provided by human resources upon request.

- Agree fully and without reservation with the schools Statement of Faith.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision. The employee is frequently required to walk stand sit possibly run stretch use hands for fine manipulation handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stoop kneel or crouch. The employee must have the ability to demonstrate the proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation. Other physical activities may be required related to the physical ability to perform emergency procedures evacuating students out of the classroom (possibly through a window) or following other emergency protocols. This position may require occasional lifting or transport of objects 2530lbs). Rarely it may be necessary to lift up to 50lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/SCHOOL SETTING
Fluorescentlit classrooms gymnasium cafeteria and other areas where students may be. Noise levels will vary throughout the shift.
