We are a unique fullservice Acquisition Team that provides real estate expertise to project managers throughout the phases of scoping design and construction. The Right of Way Agent performs all work essential to acquire temporary and permanent land rights for various Improvement Projects. We perform and possibly oversee the acquisitions relocations escrows and eminent domain actions for NonFederal and Federally funded projects. This position allows the Right of Way Agent to utilize their skill set and encourages the Right of Way Agent to evolve with Maricopa County by allowing training opportunities with the International Right of Way Association.

We Require
- Three years of experience in rightofway acquisition relocation real estate negotiations title examination/escrow services for public agencies utility companies or a related field
- Bachelors degree in Real Estate Planning & Development Business Administration or a related field
- A combination of postsecondary education and/or jobrelated experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a yearforyear basis
We Also Value
- Experience at a public agency performing the acquisition activities of real property rights
- International RightofWay Association Designations (RWA RWP or SR/WA) preferred but not required
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Highlevel organizational skills excellent communication skills customer service driven and the ability to analyze information to provide a solution
Job Contributions
- Oversees the real estate/rightofway scope schedule and budget for all assigned projects
- Serves as the ROW Agent on project teams to provide real estate/rightofway expertise to develop projects through collaboration with other team disciplines
- Communicates and coordinates rightofway related matters throughout the project development
- Reviews and analyzes project work plans design alternatives design concept reports and engineering plans to identify properties and improvements that may be impacted
- Prepares and presents offer packages and negotiates both simple and complex acquisitions; monitors escrows and files submitted for condemnation
- Coordinates the ordering and reviews title reports legal descriptions appraisals and appraisal reviews
- Responsible for maintaining digital project files and uptodate recordkeeping in the Acquisition database throughout the duration of assigned projects
- May perform or oversee relocation activities (residential and business) such as the determination of benefits and relocation assistance for the displaced
- Provides land value estimates for project planning to determine estimated costs for acquisition and relocation
- Establishes priorities and keeps all work organized and project status records updated in a timely consistent manner
Working Conditions
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona drivers license by the time of hire
- Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally 10 lbs. frequently or negligible amounts constantly OR
requires walking or standing to a significant degree - The position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

Computer software literacy in Microsoft Word Excel database Teams Adobe Acrobat
Protective Equipment Required:
Hard hat safety vest and steeltoed footwear are required when visiting job sites and/or construction sites
