Job Description

SUMMARY

Plans and prepares production schedules for manufactured products and purchased components by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares production schedule for area of responsibility to establish sequence of orders to meet customer ship dates and safety stock levels.
  • Plans and schedules workflow for each production department and operation for area of responsibility.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of equipment loads and priorities.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepares production reports for supervision and management.
  • Works closely with vendors to ensure that current order lead times are correct.
  • Reviews and sets safety stock levels to support customer demand.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required for this position; Associates degree in Business or related discipline is preferred for this position.
  • One to three years experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred for this position.
  • Experience in Excel (VLOOKUPs Pivot Tables)
