Job Description
The Automotive Billing Clerk at Stone Mountain Volkswagen located in Snellville GA is responsible and not limited to processing invoices verifying billing accuracy and ensuring that financial transactions related to vehicle sales are recorded correctly. This role requires strong attention to detail organizational skills and proficiency in accounting software to maintain accurate financial records for the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices for vehicle sales service repairs and parts transactions.
- Verify the accuracy of billing information including vehicle prices discounts taxes and fees.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and state regulations regarding billing and financial reporting.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve any invoicing issues with internal departments or customers.
- Maintain and update customer records ensuring proper documentation of payments and outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with sales finance and service departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Generate financial reports and assist with monthend closing processes.
- Handle cash checks and credit card transactions as needed.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in automotive billing accounting or finance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
