Role:Locum MMT Pharmacy Technician
Banding:Band 5
Location:Birmingham
Start Date:ASAP
Duration:Ongoing
Rate:19 22 per hour
The Pharmacy team at Pulse isseeking a dedicated and skilled Band 5 MMT Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This is a fulltime position with a competitive hourly rate of 1922. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and the role is ongoing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will manage medication therapy and ensure accurate medication distribution. You will provide patient counseling and education on medication use. You will maintain accurate records and manage inventory. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience/Knowledge:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
- Act trained.
- Minimum of 2 years postregistration hospital pharmacy experience.
- Previous experience in medicines optimisation and dispensary.
- Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
