This role is to provide strategic direction for underwriting portfolios in the region which encompasses Motor Fleet Business underwritten in WA SA NT and Tasmania ensuring growth and profitability. This role involves leading a team of underwriters underwriting complex new businesses and offering specialist advice.
Additionally the role is responsible for building and maintaining broker relationships applying technical expertise contributing to business results and staying informed about industry standards and new product introductions.
Your new role
As the Underwriting manager Motor Fleet team you will work closely with the Head of Fleet to oversee our motor fleet insurance portfolio lead a team of professionals and develop strategic initiatives to expand our client base. You will play a critical role in managing relationships with clients brokers and key stakeholders while ensuring operational excellence in underwriting and claims management.

About you
With proven experience in the insurance industry particularly in motor fleet insurance you will have demonstrated strong leadership skills by successfully managing and motivating teams. Ability to generate new business and grow a portfolio complemented by excellent negotiation communication and relationshipbuilding skills. You will possess strong analytical skills to assess risks and make datadriven decisions. Thriving in a fastpaced environment you will consistently drive results and contribute to the success of QBE.
