Job Description

Analyst Chemistry

Location: Shawbury

Are you a talented Chemist or a recent graduate looking to launch or advance your career in a cuttingedge analytical environment Smithers MDT has an exciting opportunity for you!

Our Medical Device Testing (MDT) division is at the forefront of innovation supporting the thriving medical device and combination drug product industries. With recent significant investments in new instrumentation and talent were expanding our Chemistry Department and seeking a passionate Analyst to join our growing team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

As an Analyst you will:

  • Conduct a range of analyses using advanced chromatographic techniques including HPLC LCMS and GCMS.
  • Assist in method development and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver highquality data efficiently and accurately supporting the needs of our clients.
  • Play an integral role in maintaining and organizing laboratory resources and equipment.
  • Work closely with a team of experienced scientists in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

About You:

To thrive in this role you will have:

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field or relevant industrial laboratory experience.
  • Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for problemsolving and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience with LCMS GCMS or similar chromatographic techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality standards like ISO 17025 or GLP.
