Summary
As a Hook & Fork Server youll serve up seafood and other Northwest eats amidst the stunning backdrop of the Olympic mountains along the scenic Hood Canal. Youll provide attentive counter and table service take and deliver food and beverage orders and play a key part in creating a delightful dining experience that complements the natural beauty of a unique waterfront setting!

- Welcome and engage with guests ensuring a comfortable and attentive dining experience.
- Provide menu guidance including specials and recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Answer questions about food beverages and other Market Hook & Fork Marina or Resort offerings.
- Take and enter food and beverage orders in the POS system; deliver orders promptly.
- Monitor guest satisfaction address concerns and respond courteously to requests.
- Maintain clean service areas perform side work and assist with dishwashing as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately.
- Support teammates by assisting with tables clearing dishes and stepping in as needed.
- Remain attentive and responsive to guests dining experience and requests ensuring they are satisfied with food and service.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Adapt to changing needs to ensure smooth operations as directed by leadership.

Qualifications
- Required 1 years experience as a Server or similar
- Desirable Previous outdoor dining experience
- Desirable Indepth knowledge of Hood Canal region and Mason County
- Flexible work availability including weekends required
- Equivalent education skills and/or experience necessary to perform the essential functions may be considered
Required Permits & Certifications
- WA Food Worker Card required within 14 days after hire
- WA Class 12/13 Alcohol Server Permit (MAST) required within 60 days after hire
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record is a plus

Collaboration & Engagement
As a Hook & Fork Server you will work under the direct guidance of the Union City Market Manager. In addition to your home department you will regularly work with the Marina team. You will not oversee other staff and can expect a significant to moderate level of interaction with guests and the public.
Foundational & Prerequisite Skills
- Basic written composition familiarity with related industry terminology knowledge standards and best practices English (speaking reading writing) calculating discounts interest proportions and volume general computer use typing understanding of cooking methodologies oyster shucking for raw bar presentation high standards of cleanliness and knowledge of beer and wine.
- Intermediate comprehension safetyconsciousness knowledge of food regulations (handling sanitation storage) basic math point of sale (POS) system use and identification of food products (by color shape texture smell).

- Basic general troubleshooting.
- Intermediate oyster shucking for raw bar presentation.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Demands. The employee is regularly required to talk hear stand for extended periods walk sit climb stairs demonstrate hand dexterity reach stoop kneel bend twist push pull or crouch. Occasionally the employee may lift or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision. The role may also require sustained visual and mental concentration.
- Work Environment. Conditions are primarily outdoors with exposure to heat cold and temperature variations in an uncontrolled setting. The position involves moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to certain chemicals and wood fire smoke.
