Who We Are:
The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and statesupported higher education institutions; manages Ohios school facility programs which support the construction and renovation of public K12 schools;and administers the funding for communitybased cultural and sports facilities projects.
The Commission sets uniform rules procedures and standardized documents for state construction under Chapter 153.
The legislature established the Commission in 2012 with the merger of the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) and the former Office of State Architect 2013 the Commission undertook oversight of the cultural facilities grants program. In 2017 the legislature further folded all OSFC duties and responsibilities into the Commission consolidating guidance and oversight for its various programs into one entity.
In 2021 the Commission celebrated 100 years of public construction in the Buckeye State.

Maternity Benefits Available to Enrolled State Employees
The State of Ohio is expanding maternity health care benefits available to state employees enrolled in the Ohio Med PPO and Ohio Med NN (narrow network) medical plan options. Several prenatal childbirth and postchildbirth services will be provided atno outofpocket costto employees utilizing network providers.
Examples of services now covered by network providers at 100 include:
Prenatal care including physician visits and examinations.
Home health care services are designated as maternity care (for expectant members on bed rest).
Inpatient claims for all types of delivery.
Inpatient NICU claims from birth through discharge.
Postpartum care including office visits for followup and procedures/treatments directly related to maternity.
Medications prescribed for both antepartum and postpartum conditions (e.g. morning sickness postpartum depression). Medical services provided by nonnetwork providers willbe processed at the applicable coinsurance deductible and outofpocket limits.
Prescription that are directly related to maternity care will be covered with no copay. The State of Ohio has collaborated with the prescription drug thirdparty administrator (OptumRx) to provide alist of covered medicationsthat can be approved for zero copays via prior authorization from providers.
