Required:

• Completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems and 36 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 months work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

• Or completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems and 42 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 months work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

Preferred:

Who We Are:

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and statesupported higher education institutions; manages Ohios school facility programs which support the construction and renovation of public K12 schools;and administers the funding for communitybased cultural and sports facilities projects.

The Commission sets uniform rules procedures and standardized documents for state construction under Chapter 153.

The legislature established the Commission in 2012 with the merger of the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) and the former Office of State Architect 2013 the Commission undertook oversight of the cultural facilities grants program. In 2017 the legislature further folded all OSFC duties and responsibilities into the Commission consolidating guidance and oversight for its various programs into one entity.

In 2021 the Commission celebrated 100 years of public construction in the Buckeye State.

What We Do:

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and statesupported institutions of higher education; manages Ohios school facility programs which provide support for the construction and renovation of public K12 schools; and administers the funding for communitybased cultural and sports facilities projects.

What Youll Do:

• Works with CIO and/or IT Manager(s)/Supervisor(s) to design develop test and implement solutions that meet the commissions requirements
• Performs the role of an IT Architect / Senior Java developer
  • Edits or creates agency IT artifacts including but not limited to procedures standards guidelines and best practice
• Conducts agile ceremonies pair programs leads mentors and coaches IT staff members such as developers business analysts testers etc.
• Working on Spring Boot applications in a cloud AWS environment using Java MySQL MariaDB AWS Azure DevOps JavaScript Spring Hibernate Gradle Ant NoSQL (MongoDB Document DB) Git
• Performs software development in small teams and pairs using modified Agile software development methodologies
  • Development may include multiple development tools techniques and version control
• Works with agency technical and businessarea personnel to ensure requirements are thoroughly defined captured and understood
  • Performs impact analysis to identify interdependencies
• Troubleshoots software and business issues
  • Resolves software bugs and anomalies
• Assists with design reviews
  • Performs code reviews
  • Serves as technical lead as assigned
• Creates detailed test designs and test plans
  • Creates and reviews test data for performing test scenarios
  • Coordinates of unit and system test scripts debugging efforts and defect tracking
  • Supports user acceptance testing; leads the monitoring of IT quality assurance standards and testing
  • Perform performance and load testing
  • Ensures agency application development standards are met
• Leads and coordinates software implementation & deployment tasks
  • Reviews development lifecycle activities & assists with estimating workload requirements
• Assists the support desk in responding to and correcting reported application issues as assigned
• Analyses troubleshoots and corrects application issues related to the code data application security and/or environment
• Stays current with applicable technology reads articles attends jobrelated seminars &/or class room training to fully support the Commission
• Communicates with users and other agency and consultant information technology professionals to solve and track problems.
• Mentors other developers and IT Staff shares expertise and best practices.
• Performs other duties as required

Several prenatal childbirth and postchildbirth services will be provided atno outofpocket costto employees utilizing network providers.

Examples of services now covered by network providers at 100 include:

Prenatal care including physician visits and examinations.

Home health care services are designated as maternity care (for expectant members on bed rest).

Inpatient claims for all types of delivery.
