About the Role:
Driving / Operating one of our specialist highways HGV vehicles. We utilise a state of the art system called Samsara that allows drivers to report defects on a daily basis to ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy at all times.
Part of your role as a HGV driver will be to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use at start of shift. You will be expected to integrate into the highways department where we currently have long standing contracts with several councils these include Manchester Cheshire Lancashire Wigan and Cumbria.
The role will include gully cleaning drainage investigation cctv of highway drainage and working closely with our TM department on strategically critical highway routes to ensure roads users can go about their business on a daily basis. There is an element of IT capability required however this is minimal and full training will be given.
At Sapphire we like to invest in our people so full mandatory training will be provided as part of the role to ensure all employees are working safely and competently.
Location: Bamber Bridge Preston
Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday 6am4pm)
Salary: 32500 per annum (Overtime paid at a time and a half)
Bonus: Based on productivity.
This is a fulltime position within a growing and busy department.
