Pilates Instructor Part-Time Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center

As the Pilates Instructor you will be responsible for the set up and teaching of a weekly Pilates class at the Federal Way PAEC.

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00.

The Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center is a multipurpose venue designed to host theater music dance art and spokenword performances. Adjoining event spaces can host more than 300 for gala seating or be transformed into settings ideal for conferences seminars meetings and weddings. Majestic mountain views are abundant from the PAECs perch above the city an enchanting backdrop for striking event photographs. The centers premier location in South King County just 20 minutes south of SeaTac Airport is ideal for business educational social charitable and private events.

• Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of Pilates equipment during each class to ensure a safe yet creative group experience.
• Ideal skill set will also include training in the Chair Springboard and Cadillac as well as TRX Magic Circle and other equipment.
• Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety with the ability to provide modifications and progressions for clients with injuries and/or limitations.
• Stay up to date with and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times.
• Develop and create class plans that are safe effective and challenging pursuant to Club Pilates standards.
• Provide Pilates instruction to include Intro classes group apparatus classes private and semiprivate training as scheduled.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Must hold and maintain up to date Pilates Instructor Certification.
• 450 hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include Mat).
• Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises.
• Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry specifically Pilates.
• Passion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminars.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Prior experience teaching Pilates fitness classes or personal training is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy alignment and movement mechanics.
• Ability to connect with clients and create a positive experience.
• Remain calm and courteous in a variety of demanding situations.
• CPR Certification/first aid training is preferred.
