Job Description
We are seeking a caring compassionate individual who has experience caring for children ages six weeks to two years who would like to be a substitute. We are committed to providing topquality care and education for children who are enrolled in our program. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every child that attends our facility. If you are a patient caring individual with childcare experience we hope you will get in touch about this position. The position will typically assist with the following:
- Physical care of infant/toddler (including diapering feeding and cleanliness);
- Following an ageappropriate curriculum;
- Ensure the safety of the children and cleanliness of the classroom and treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background;
- Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time centers snacks lunchtime playground free play etc.;
- Utilize effective classroom management;
- Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards;

- Be at least 18 years old;
- High school degree or GED;
- Relevant previous daycare experience working with children in a licensed or accredited daycare childcare center or preschool;
- Caring and compassionate attitude a must;
- Excellent interpersonal communication decisionmaking and organizational skills;
- Must have critical thinking monitoring negotiating and learning skills;
- Ability to convey a dynamic energetic and funloving spirit;
- Must have problemsolving and creativity skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle pressure;
- Successful reference background check and drug/alcohol clearance;
- Acknowledgment of and agreement with the Schools Community Covenant and Statement of Faith.
Physical Requirements:
In order to create a safe and dynamic learning environment Childcare Workers should be able to perform the following physical demands on a regular to frequent basis as needed:
- Lift and carry children (up to 50 lbs. including kneeling bending stooping stretching or squatting to interact with children;
- Using fingers and hands to manipulate small objects;
- Running short distances;
- Sitting on the floor;
- Bending stretching twisting and reaching out;
- Moving arms and legs quickly;
- Coordinating movement of several parts of the body such as arms and legs while the body is moving.
- Successful background check reference checking and drugscreening clearance.
- Acknowledgment of and agreement with GACs Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
