Department Overview
Motorola Solutions is a leader in missioncritical communications products solutions & services for communities & businesses.The Engineering Cost Reduction Team focuses best cost at launch in new product development and drives continuous cost reduction activities. Primary focus of this role is Video Security & Access Control plus Land Mobile Radio.
Job Description
Reporting to the New Product Sourcingteam your focus will be on generating cost saving opportunities qualifying new cost competitive parts and continuously optimizing product cost management. You will work closely with the engineering team and the supplier to ensure product cost always stays competitive and designed to value.
Responsibilities:
Working cross functionally with mechanical firmware andDesign Validation Test
Youll build Project Management skills developing innovative products
Design and validation of circuit boards using schematic capture PCB layout and simulation Electronics Design Automation tools
Characterizing analyzing and troubleshooting electronic circuits
Creating and maintaining bills of materials using product life management tools
Capturing design and test documentation
Rapid prototyping of test circuits using workbench tools and test equipment
Testing and mitigation of Electromagnetic Compatibility/Electromagnetic Interference and safety issues
Testing and Validation experience required.
Target Base Salary Range: $59600 $105500
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
2 years of experience working as a Midlevel Electrical Engineer required.
