The Opportunity:
Under general supervision perform custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities within residence halls/apartments/dining. Successful candidates must be willing and able to perform duties associated with commercial cleaning wearing Personal Protective Equipment PPE including operating industrial type cleaning equipment such as high speed buffers burnishes shampooers and vacuum cleaners. Successful candidates must also be willing and able to clean restrooms classrooms residence halls offices and/or similar facilities as well as move heavy items such as tables furniture cleaning equipment supplies and other related cleaning devices. This position requires the ability to physically bend stoop lift and move items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift and climb and stand on ladders. Hours may be 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 7:30 to 4:00 pm or 8 am to 4:30 pm.

This is a full time 100 FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
$3167 to $3811 Range 32 (Steps E M) Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 35728
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Have or be able to obtain a valid drivers license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
