College is currently seeking applicants for a parttime Engineering Professor. Lecture rate is $90.47/hour and the lab rate is $77.27/hour.

This parttime position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected yearround. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.

Position Responsibilities

GENERAL FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strive to enhance teaching and active learning techniques
  • Use Canvas to assess student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Use appropriate teaching methods to respond to varying student learning styles
  • Effectively use computer applications for instruction and communication where appropriate
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the mission of the College its student population and educational goals
POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Teach Introduction to Design
  • Instruct classes and labs utilizing techniques and knowledge of the engineering design process that facilitates student learning
  • Uphold engineering department curriculum standards

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Masters degree in Mechanical Civil Aerospace or related engineering field
  • Experience in mentoring training or teaching
  • Experience in technical communication
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically culturally and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
