Job Description
Summit Educational Group is looking to hire inperson oneonone test prep tutors to servicethe greater Boston MA area mostly the suburbs surrounding Newton.
Applicants must have a bachelors degree to be considered. As well as a willingness to tutor all sections of both the SAT and ACT this after comprehensive paid training of course but a baseline knowledge of high school ELA & math content is needed. All Applicants must pass a short preinterview SAT/ACT content quiz.

New tutors undergo paid training to equip them with comprehensive knowledge of both the SAT and ACT along with pedagogical strategies suitable for any learning style. Additionally we offer ongoing supplemental training to keep tutors informed about updates to both tests and teaching methods to ensure they remain among the industrys best.

- We provide the marketing billing industry updates and course materials paid training and support so you can focus on whats important and enjoyable: helping students succeed!
- This tutoring position is parttime and you set your hours and caseload. Tutors can work with as few as three students or as many as your schedule allows each week.
The Skill Set:
As a candidate for the role of Summit Tutor you will possess many though perhaps not all of the following characteristics and qualifications:
- A studentcentered disposition that prioritizes the learning needs of the young people we serve.
- Responsible and responsive work ethic allowing flexibility for student schedule changes.
- Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel 30 minutes to students homes.
- Additional compensation is provided when traveling farther.
- A Bachelors degree is required.
- Teaching or tutoring experience is welcomed but not required.
- We offer comprehensive paid SAT/ACT training to all new tutors.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students with Learning Differences is a plus.
The Benefits:
- Wage: $45/hr for inperson $35/hr for online
