Job Description
Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code; 24 mos. exp. in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in employee training & development; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in public relations; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in counseling.
Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements but not for the mandated licensure.

What youll do at OhioMHAS:
At the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) Nurse Supervisors play a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of clients. They oversee direct care nursing services and act as a liaison between medical services and other disciplines. Specifically their responsibilities include:
- Receives administrative direction from the Nurse Executive for the planning & implementation of total nursing care on assigned shift
- Provides general and direct supervision to nursing staff
- Makes rounds of residential areas & monitors the nursing care plan documentation recoveryfocused therapeutic programs & environmental safety residential area
- Serves as Administrative Officer of the Day (AOD) for the entire facility after hours as needed
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units with a pay range of#15on theE1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are 1st shift 6:30 am 3:00 pm 2nd shift 2:30 pm 11:00 pm and 3rd shift 10:45 pm 6:45 am. (Flexible Schedule).
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
