Job Description
As a Development Engineer at Coherent you will be a key player in a technically strong team. Youll work on the development of advanced optoelectronic products essential components in the data and telecommunications systems of the future.
This is a role for someone who wants to take on greater technical responsibility and grow into a Tech Lead position over time leading technical discussions driving solutions and influencing the product direction from idea to finished function.
Example Responsibilities- Take ownership of technical solutions in product development projects
- Contribute to technical specifications and documentation
- Conduct data analysis to improve product performance
- Participate in and eventually lead technical discussions and decisions
- Holds a Masters degree (or equivalent) in Optoelectronics Electronics Physics or a related field
- Has 57 years of experience in technical development preferably in optoelectronics or a similar hightech area
- Is used to working in projectbased environments ideally with customer interaction
- Speaks and writes fluent English
- Is curious analytical and has strong technical drive
- Optical communication
- Fiber optics
- Semiconductor technology
- Product development in close collaboration with production
