As a Senior Platform Engineer youll play a crucial role in managing the Universitys enterprise systems encompassing Microsoft Unix virtualisation cloud automation and monitoring technologies. Youll ensure technical stability functionality and currency of systems and infrastructure directly contributing to the achievement of Business Unit and Divisional objectives. This role offers you the opportunity to engage with a wide range of internal and external customers integrate into project work and thrive in delivering customer service excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage Enterprise Systems: Oversee and maintain complex platforms including Microsoft Unix cloud and virtualisation technologies.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Provide expertise to resolve complex operational issues and support technical design activities.
- Ensure Service Quality: Monitor environment performance troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement of technical services management practices.
You may be a great fit if:
- You are a highly skilled IT professional with postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline extensive experience in managing enterprise systems and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a complex technological environment.
You may also:
- Possess ITIL qualifications or practical experience with ITIL frameworks.
- Hold certifications in Microsoft Unix VMware and AWS technologies.
- Have extensive experience with a wide range of enterprise technologies including Office 365 Active Directory Azure RedHat Ubuntu AWS VMware and various automation and monitoring tools.
- Demonstrate strong problemsolving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excel in managing external vendors and documenting service processes.
