An exciting opportunity has become available within the accounting industry for a Personal Assistant to the Partner / Director based in Tygervalley Cape Town.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience as a Personal Assistant in an accounting environment
  • Experience in dealing with SARS and CIPC processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised and efficient
  • Able to think logically

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle SARS calls for the accountants
  • CIPC:
    • Request disclosures
    • File beneficial ownerships
    • File annual returns
  • Preparation of rep appointment resolutions
  • Preparation of power of attorneys for SARS and CIPC
  • Preparation of resolutions for queries received from clients (i.e. shareholding confirmation confirmation of address request for reason etc)
  • Submission of rep appointments disputes complaints and supporting documents to SARS on the SARS website.
  • UIF TERS audits as they come in (accountants might take this over)
  • Registering trusts for tax
  • Registering new companies and clients on tax practitioner efiling profile
  • Activating tax types and representatives
  • Adding new clients to XPM Xero and Efiling.
  • Managing files on icloud to ensure all is organised and well maintained
  • Running errands for the director and accountants on occasion
  • Requesting signatures and supporting documents from the clients as required
  • Diary management and booking of meeting rooms for meetings (as required)
  • Office management and birthday arrangement
  • Assisting with billing from time to time
  • Processing of invoices for one of our clients who transports things (such as maize and barley) via trucks. We need to process the weekly schedules and invoices.
  • Answering of phone calls as they come in.
  • Adhoc duties as required by the director and accountants
