Job Summary
This position has the opportunity to join a team setting that is engaging donors alumni and the community around aspirational fundraising goals for the College of Health. The college has the largest student body in U of U Health and is among the largest colleges/schools at the university. The college is implementing a strategic effort to engage nearly 18000 alumni. In addition this position works with individuals foundations and corporations to raise funds for endowments and annual support. Responsibilities
Build relationships and secure philanthropic support $1000 and above) through personal visits with donors and prospective donors including individuals businesses/corporations and foundations. Inform potential contributors of the needs of the College of Health and encourage gifts to endowments annual fund and projects. Assure appropriate acknowledgment of as a liaison with department administrators donors volunteers university development office alumni department and community up with donors through annual fund qualification and phoneathon and maintain information on donors and prospective proposals by performing research coordinating with department board members meeting with potential donors corporations or foundations and writing the on behalf of U Health twice per year to engage with alumni and donors outside of the state of with marketing and communication donors in being or assists with the solicitation strategies of represent the department /college or University at various community meetings and duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Communications Business or a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four years of experience in highend repeat sales or direct fundraising required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills also required. Fundraising or repeat sales experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully establish long term relationships with highend customers is preferred.
