The Automation and Robotics Engineer III is responsible for creating monitoring and improving automated manufacturing processes to ensure processes meet productivity cost quality and delivery requirements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops evaluates and improves automated manufacturing equipment tooling and processes. *
- Provides training on production processes as needed. *
- Develops space requirements workflow and designs layout of equipment for maximum efficiency. *
- Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confers with management engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate efficient production processes. *
- Represents organization when communicating with customers suppliers and internal contacts concerning projects and initiatives. *
- Confers with vendors to determine equipment specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment materials or parts and evaluates equipment according to specifications and quality standards. *
- Responsible for creation of and follorwing SAT and FAT criteria for automation acceptance.*
- Performs verification and validation (IQ OQ PQ FMEA) of product processes and designs.
- Evaluates statistical process control (SPC) reports analyzing data to evaluate the current process and potential process changes. *
- Communicates significant issues or developments and provides recommended process improvements to lead or supervisor. *
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Evaluates yield OEE or applicable metric and responds to the data to improve the state of the process. *
- Prepares documents for Engineering Change Orders. *
- Follows Design for Manufacturability guidelines.
- Participates in complex projects involving delegation and review of work acting as team member. *
- Can provide training guidance and coaching to other employees when directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical biomedical engineering physics or similar field of study or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum four 4 years engineering experience; medical device experience preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience with Automation or Robotics.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Proven analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Strong personal interpersonal and communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of Project Management.
- Previous experience using Keyence vision systems programming and interfacing with other equipment.
- Proficient in Epson or Allen Bradley software
- Experience with CAD software (Solidworks or Creo preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel. Employee is frequently required to see fine detail by unaided eye or by microscope. Employee is frequently required to talk or hear. Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

SALARY RANGE:
The anticipated base pay for this position is: $95000 $120000
Intricon is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a fulltime schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account including but not limited to candidate qualifications education geographic locations market conditions and internal equity.
