About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role is part of our hard working and dedicated Maintenance team at St Vincents Lismore.
In this role you will be responsible for completing a wide range of maintenance and cleaning duties including:
- General building maintenance & repairs handle daytoday maintenance tasks including minor carpentry electrical plumbing cleaning internal and external building structures such as windows walls eaves vents guttering signage throughout the whole facility;
- Tracking and reporting on maintenance issues
- Carrying out cleansing tasks and special projects as required;
- Gardening & outdoor maintenance maintain gardens and outdoor areas;
- Working collaboratively with other general services departments including housekeeping gardening and catering; and
- Performing regular quality and safety checks of equipment used and following all work health and safety regulations.
We have 2 x permanent fulltime opportunities with a requirement to be oncall based at St Vincents Private Hospital Lismore campus.

Your skills & experience
- Excellent time management skills including being able to get to work on time and work independently to complete all duties;
- Able to undertake labour intensive and physically demanding internal and external maintenance cleaning duties for large private healthcare facility including a hospital aged care facility and child care facility.
- Excellent people skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of patients residents caregivers and staff;
- Knowledge of work health and safety principles or willingness to learn;
- Previous maintenance cleaning experience desired but not essential.
