Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design project management and construction maintenance technical inspections and aerodrome surveys operational readiness airport security training regulatory compliance audits and ongoing daily operations.
About the role
AMS has an exciting fulltime opportunity for an Aviation Screening Officer to join our team at Olympic Dam Airport working a7 days on/7 days off roster on a residential or FIFO (Adelaide) basis.
AnAviation Screenersrole is diverse but ultimately focuses on ensuring the safety security and integrity of the airport aircraft and passengers.The Aviation Screening Officer is responsible for providing a positive customer experience with attention to aviation security regulations at the Airport. The Officer would be involved with and responsible for the completion of all aviation screening tasks. The candidate will have demonstrated abilities to work in a fastpaced changing environment with a willingness to learn and train in the aviation sector. Ideally you will have proven experience and knowledge in the customer service industry.
About you
AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career but youll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas:
- Either a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or ability to obtain
- Either an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) or ability to obtain
- Ability to attain Dangerous Goods Awareness Training and First Aid certificate
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work well in public and a team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- A professional attitude and excellent grooming standards
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willingness to undergo training as a first responder in the event of an emergency situation at the airport
