Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor and Masters degree in Education
  • Valid Texas Teachers Certificate
  • Five years of relevant experience in management/administration of CCMP programs and CCMR tracking
  • Knowledge of effective research: change process systems thinking organizational culture and adult learners
  • Ability to plan implement deliver and sustain professional development for related school staff
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience coordinating workbased learning experiences
  • Advanced knowledge of graduation requirements and CTE pathways for students
  • Proven ability to secure administer and oversee grantfunded programs
  • Knowledge of federal and state accountability programs
  • Recommended by the ESC Executive Director

Center Responsibilites:

  • Processes all personal timekeeping travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintains professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
  • Demonstrates punctual and regular attendance on the job
  • Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
  • Supports the mission goals and objectives of the ESC
  • Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC
  • Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies processes and procedures
  • Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
  • Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
  • Exhibits professionalism in all situations at the ESC
  • Develops collaborative and positive relationships with schools and coworkers
  • Exhibits planning and leadership on assigned tasks and projects
  • Ability to take initiative and exhibit innovative thinking
  • Keeps supervisor advised of all pertinent financial and operations business
  • Ability to handle constructive criticism in a positive manner
  • Evidence of followingup and followingthrough with services
  • Evidence of professional loyalty
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Department Responsibilities:

  • Ability to handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline
  • Demonstrates positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work as a member of a team but also independently
  • Upholds confidentiality of the information processed in all work if required
  • Attends all called meetings including departmental staff meetings work team meetings and general staff meetings
  • Actively contributes to assigned work teams
  • Develops and competently implements an individual work plan that clearly contributes to the accomplishment of departmental Integrated Academic Team and organizational goals
  • Analyzes metrics evaluates outcomes and makes adjustments to optimize impact of work
  • Demonstrates a commitment to provide exceptional customer service

Position Responsilbilites:

  • Delivers exceptional professional learning experiences
  • Oversee and lead the Northeast Texas Career Alliance (NTCA) to include fulfilling all responsibilities as outlined in the NTCA Partnership Memorandum of Understanding
  • Leading opportunities to grow NTCA partnerships and pathways
  • Build industry partnerships and connect LEAs with opportunities for workbased learning
  • Provide advising supports on topics such as FAFSA College Preparatory Exams Graduation Planning Career Exploration and Secondary Master Scheduling.
  • Provide supports and training around the CCMR indicators for state accountability
  • Collaborate crossdepartmentally to provide professional development for related staff on topics such as advising CTE programs of study accountability and graduation
  • Facilitate and attend ISD CTE advisory committees when requested
  • Coordinate with other relevant agencies
  • Assist in facilitating the CTE Perkins SSA
  • Contract with districts as necessary to provide services
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and other relevant professional organizations
  • Travel (meaning to drive ones own vehicle) to and from LEAs to fulfill program and project specifications are required. Out of region travel may also be required.

Terms of Employment:

Up to 226 working days
This is an atwill employment position.
In the event of an economic slump a reductioninforce may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.

Locally funded
Grant funded. Grant Cycle End Date: Annual rolling grants
Grant funded positions may not exist past the end date.
