Equifindare working with a hugely successful boutique private equity firm who are looking to hire a Fund & Portfolio Accountant. To date they now boast over $3bn AUM and are scaling rapidly with headcount now being added across the board.
To date investments have been in life sciences technology retail and agriculture across the globe and have a large pipeline of further investments underway! Reporting into the Head of Funds finance this will be the third hire into the finance function due to the increase in workload. As a business they now have 25 members in total split across operations investment team board finance and further support functions; making them an agile team in the market.
Its a very broad role for someone recently qualified who is looking at adding real value through the numbers. Youll be covering fund accounting investment analysis portfolio monitoring and more which is an incredibly rare opportunity.
Key duties of the role include:
- Work with Fund administrators to ensure the timely delivery of the daytoday activity of the funds and various holding structures including production of quarterly investor reports and accounts partner statements capital calls or distribution notices
- Support on the quarterly valuation process and Valuation Committee process
- Liaise with the fund administrators and together with the tax advisor(s) deliver the investor tax reporting packages
- Support the quarterly portfolio review process analysing underlying investments and budgets in articulation with the Investment Team
- Overseeing the finances of investment vehicles e.g. NAV oversight cash management invoice approval budgeting and the audit processes
- Assist on deal (tax advisors accountants lawyers investment team)
- Working with IR to respond to investor queries about their holdings performance distributions and other adhoc questions in a timely manner
- Work with administrators Senior Financial Controller and the CFO in the review of carried interest models
- Assisting administrators with the audit process at the Fund level
Required Experience:
- Recently chartered accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Personable proactive and hard working
- Financial services experience or an aspiration to join the industry
- Excellent communication skills being able to
- Ability to work independently and also as part of the wider team
