Your new role

As the Accountability Framework Specialist you will be responsible for the implementation and operationalisation of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) framework within CSC. This is a critical role that that promotes ethical behaviour and accountability under the FAR. You will work with executives and senior stakeholders to refine and embed how the FAR including reasonable steps operates across CSCs business lines.

To be successful in this role you will need to be ready to develop a deep understanding of FAR obligations along with experience in risk management compliance or financial governance. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be essential as you will collaborate across different teams to drive better practices. The ability to interpret the mix of regulatory intent and prescription and translate these into effective operational processes will be key to excelling in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operationalise CSCs FAR Accountability framework including accountabilities and reasonable steps to enable executive confidence in adhering to the Australian Industry FAR obligations
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation and regulatory requirements related to the FAR framework
  • Maintain overall Accountability Map and coordinate the maintenance of Exec and NonExec Accountability Statements
  • Monitor and assess the overall effectiveness of CSCs FAR framework making recommendations for improvements as needed
  • Manage FAR breach management procedures and processes and conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to accountabilityrelated controls and processes
  • Assist with regulatory inquiries and ensure timely responses and provide training and support to staff on FARrelated responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal Business Units to ensure a cohesive approach to financial accountability
  • Prepare reports and insights for senior management


Skills And Experiences

What youll need to excel

  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (Canberra based preferred)
  • Bachelors degree in finance risk or a related field essential
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CPA CFA FRM CPRM) are highly desirable
  • Understanding of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) and related regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships the executive level
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive nature
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
