DescriptionJob Summary: This pharmacist position will provide pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes; promote costeffective drug therapy management in emergency situations; work closely with technicians nurses and medical staff to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to acute car areas. The pharmacist will: adhere to the general hospital standards to promote cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills interpersonal relationships and team building assist with verification of medication orders and distribution of pharmaceutical products; coordinate and participate in the education of pharmacist and other health care professionals in regards to pharmacotherapy; initiate and/or participate in medication utilization evaluations; participate in the drug therapy management in emergency situations.

How Youll Impact Patient Care:
Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
- Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing optimizing staff utilization.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
- Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
- Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
- Provide ageappropriate care following guidelines.
- Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
What You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. is required.
- Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.
Nice To Have (Not Required):
- One to two years experience is preferred.
- Completion of a residency and/or equivalent experience in clinical pharmacy is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced healthcare environment.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care and ongoing learning and skills development.
