Job Description
THE POSITION
The Department of Corrections State Correctional Institution at Mercer is seeking a highly motivated Psychological Services Associate Corrections to join our Psychology Department. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Psychological Services Associates (PSA) Corrections you will provide psychological services under the direct clinical supervision of a Licensed Psychologist Manager to a population of individuals who are incarcerated. The purpose of this service delivery is to ensure individuals mental health and general emotional needs are addressed efficiently and effectively during their period of incarceration with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
You will be assisting the Licensed Psychologist Manager in planning and organizing outpatient mental health and psychological services for the State Correctional Institution including the development and promulgation of patients treatment plans. PSAs may also administer psychological tests and intelligence tests where applicable under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist Manager. This includes conducting mental status examinations under the supervision of the Licensed Psychologist Manager and frequently preparing psychological assessments. You will also conduct both individual and group treatment for individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses individuals convicted of sex offenses individuals dually diagnosed and general population inmates as needed for crisis related services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 40 hours per week.
- Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.
- Additional pay will be considered for those who currently possess or obtain licensure as a Social Worker Clinical Social Worker or Professional Counselor issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Counselors. Documentation will need to be provided at interview to receive additional pay consideration.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A Masters degree in psychology or a closely related field which includes fifteen graduate level credits in psychology counseling educational counseling rehabilitation human development learning or motivation.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
