Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain serverside applications using Node.js.
- Design and manage databases using MySQL and MongoDB.
- Write efficient reusable and testable code.
- Create and execute unit and integration test cases.
- Use Git for version control and collaborate with team members through pull requests and code reviews.
- Track and manage tasks using Jira.
- Work closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration of userfacing elements with serverside logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and its frameworks (e.g. Express.js NestJS).
- Experience with MySQL and MongoDB databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems especially Git.
- Knowledge of test case creation and .
- Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with frontend developers.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Additional Skills will be an added advantage
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).
