ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
Since 1972 the Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago has presented cutting edge cinema as Chicagos premiere art house theater. The Film Centers programming includes annual film festivals that celebrate diverse voices and international cultures premieres of trailblazing work by todays independent filmmakers restorations and revivals of essential films from cinema history and insightful provocative discussions with filmmakers and media artists.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
This is a 20 hour/week parttime evening and weekend position that provides film and video projection and ensures an excellent cinematic experience for Film Center patrons. Assists the Technical Director with inspection preparation and quality control of all incoming media. Assists with setup and breakdown of equipment used for programs in the Film Center or at remote locations and provides general technical support for events. Repackages film video and related material for shipping.
