Job Description
Established in 2017 WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) is a leading global commercialstage company that develops autonomous driving technologies from Level 2 to Level 4. WeRide is the only tech company in the world that holds driverless permits in China the UAE Singapore and the US conducting autonomous driving R&D tests and operations in over 30 cities of 9 countries around the world. WeRide has operated a selfdriving fleet for more than 1800 days.
We are looking for several experienced and innovative systems engineers to develop and validate both L3 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and L4 Autonomous Driving (AD) Systems. The level depends on the candidates experience and qualification.
What you will do
- Conduct systems engineering analyses to accelerate system development and support business goals
- Define ADAS and AD system performance metrics measure and monitor system performance provide feedback to software development teams
- Develop system validation strategy break system level performance metrics down to subsystem performance requirements develop test methodologies and test suites to quantify system and subsystem performance highlight performance gaps
- Assess readiness of commercial deployment in different ODDs to support leadership decisions
- Conduct safety risk assessment in the framework of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Develop ADAS and AD system architecture with different vehicle platforms
- Ensure ADAS and AD systems comply with regulatory requirements support the development of safety cases
- Work closely with engineering product and operations teams to ensure system performance goals are met
- Mentor junior systems engineers build a collaborative and innovative work environment
Requirements
- Deep understanding of system engineering principles and methodologies with a strong focus on ADAS and AD technologies
- Deep understanding of AIbased system metrics development and performance validation familiarity with Machine Learning technologies
- Pragmatic and innovative able to solve complex problems with minimum resources
- Clear verbal and written communications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field
- Flexibility to work with teams in different time zones
Plus
- Understanding Chinese (Manderin) is a strong plus
Salary Range: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position the reasonably expected pay range is between $130000 $182000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors including your experience qualifications education location and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus equity and a competitive benefits package.
